Meet the Founder
Hi, I’m Kent Young—educator, instructional designer, and the hands-on heart behind Bayside Tech Solutions.
I build learning systems that actually work—on the ground, in the classroom, and at the systems level. With a background in education, technology leadership, and real-world implementation, I’ve spent years helping schools, students, and families navigate the space where learning and tech meet.
As a classroom educator and school CIO, I’ve seen firsthand how overwhelming educational technology can feel—especially for micro schools and private institutions without an in-house ID team. That’s why I started Bayside Tech Solutions: to bring high-quality instructional design and scalable technology solutions to schools that need them most.
My design philosophy is rooted in cognitive load theory, practical integration, and human-centered systems. Whether I’m developing a custom AR-infused learning experience, launching a student podcast project, or building an LMS from scratch, my goal is always the same: empower educators, support learners, and make tech feel approachable, purposeful, and personal.
